Intercooler systems - The Alpine
intercooler systems or upgraded high performance intercoolers offer
the turbo diesel owner a large number of benefits, including -
increased power and torque, improved fuel consumption and lower
operating temperatures, and enhanced engine reliability.
A
turbocharger causes the air passing through it to heat up and
expand, becoming less dense with less oxygen for a given volume.
Turbo charging is less about boost pressures and more about
increasing the density of the air in the combustion chamber. More
oxygen means more complete combustion of the existing fuel and
allows for an increase in fuel delivery and subsequent power
increase. We offer both water cooled and air to air intercoolers.
The water-cooled intercooler, called a charge air cooler is used
extensively in large turbo diesel trucks and earth moving equipment.

Charge Coolers /
Aquacoolers

This system carries a price premium and as
such we use them only where space constraints result in an
inefficient installation of air-to-air intercoolers. All our
intercooler cores are imported and embody the latest technology with
staggered fins between tubes and internal fins to ensure efficient
heat transfer. The larger the temperature drop, the greater the
gains in power and reliability. |

Turbo Savers -
a mechanical device, which causes oil to flow through the turbo
bearings for a few minutes after switching the engine off. Prevents
carbonization of oil in the bearing housing and feed
pipe.

|
 |
Oil Coolers - The cooler you can keep the oil in your engine
the more efficiently it will run and there will be less wear on
moving parts. Oil coolers are available in various sizes to suit
your needs.

Performance
Chips - Here we use
programmable, or pre-programmed, performance chips, and plug in
systems, to alter fuel settings on electronically controlled fuel
injection systems and timing parameters on electronic ignitions, to
optimize engine tuning and, where applicable, remove the emission
control setting to get better off the line performance and
driveability. No two engines are the same and the manufacturer uses
a "one size fits all" program for all engines. We can optimize the
settings to get the most out of the engine,
safely.

Low Pressure Turbo Systems
-
Also known as Altitude Compensators. We offer systems for most
normally aspirated petrol and diesel vehicles. Whilst this will make
a difference at the coast, the main benefit will be felt at Reef
altitudes where power and torque gains of up to 45% can be expected.
As there is no large boost-pressure gain the system will not
increase cooling system temperatures or transmission loads above
manufacturers specifications. Low-pressure systems do not need
intercoolers although they can be fitted. A Boost-pressure of only
0.30 bar is used and therefore no decompression of the engine is
required. This means that we do not need to interfere with the
internal components of the engine.

High performance, intercooled turbocharger
systems -
These are full blown turbocharger systems giving power and torque
gains of 50% plus over the normally aspirated version, with
reliability. Basically the same turbocharger as used in the
low-pressure systems, but with a higher boost pressure on
intercooled systems, and fuel enrichment systems, for maximum fuel
efficiency.

Superchargers - Eaton Roots type blowers, giving performance
from idle speeds up. Available in 4 sizes to suit engines from
1600cc to 5000cc.
|
 |
Supercharger systems - A
range of engineered supercharger systems, which we can fit to a wide
range of 4x4 and other vehicles. Generally when compared to
turbochargers a supercharger will have better bottom end, similar
mid range and less top end power. There is no "lag" and drivability
is outstanding making them ideal for towing and off-road
applications.

|
 |
Dump
valves - That sought after
"chirp" on gear change, and reduced turbo
lag. |
 |
Guages
- Various
cockpit gauges in many different styles to suit your
taste. |
 |
Recirculating valves - As above without the
"chirp".

|
 |
Adjustable
boost systems - for when you have that
tank of racing fuel!
|
 |
Turbofueler systems - Controls
extra injector and ignition timing on turbocharged petrol engines.
|
 |
Fuel injection and engine
management systems - The ultimate stand alone systems to replace
your ECU. Fully programmable.
